Drawing is the basis for all visual art. Fortunately, it is a skill that can be learned. Unfortunately, most people have not gotten proper instruction in drawing so the think that they cannot draw. Nothing can be further from the truth. If you desire to learn to draw and are willing to invest the time and effort, I can teach you to draw.

In this introductory course you'll use various mediums to learn about contour and gesture, negative space, linear perspective and value. You'll improve your ability to see and learn the basic language of drawing so that you can better record your observations and experiences. Eventually acquiring the skills to draw portraits of friends and family members. Minimal supplies needed. Materials list provided.

Watercolor for Cowards - Watercolor has gotten a bad wrap as an "unforgiving" medium that you have to get right the first time! Come find out how easy and wonderfully fun watercolors can be! We'll paint watercolors from start to finish, in easy-to-follow steps that will guide you through the process. You may choose to work on pictures developed by Lyn or learn to pain from your own photographs or a still life setup. The ability to draw is not necessary, but highly recommenced. Individualized attention as well as demonstrations of techniques; problem-solving methods; plus lots of tips, color theory, making corrections and more.

Paints, brushes, 1 piece of 140# paper, masking tape, pencil, graphite paper, paper towels, water containers, masking fluid and other supplies as needed. $5.00 per class. $20.00 for a workshop.
