Policies and Guidelines

ENROLLMENT

All summer classes begin the week of June 16th. Your child’s name can tentatively be put on a class roll sheet without payment, but a $25.00 deposit, per child, will guarantee your child/children’s spot. The deadline for the full payment of class fee is the first day of the class. I would recommend getting your registration and deposit in as soon as possible since a full class only has 10 students.

SNACK

No snacks will be provided unless parents feel inclined to bring in a snack for all of the children. Please don’t bring in a snack or beverage for your child to drink unless you also bring in enough for everyone to share.

DRESS

Please dress for mess! Students should not wear new of favorite clothing to art classes. Dress for the messy work of active art projects. Smocks, cloths or towels should be marked with your child's name. All our materials are non-toxic and safe for children but we cannot keep them clean.

HEALTH INFORMATION

The Director must be informed in writing of any behavioral or medical conditions before a child attends classes. All required medications must be given to the Director with written directions for proper administration and a statement absolving the Blessings Art Academy of any liability.

Please notify the Director of any food allergies. We would also like to alert you to the fact that we have 2 large dogs and 2 cats that will be in the back yard during classes. Our animals are very gentle and love children, but if your child has allergies or fear of dogs or cats please let us know about it.

DROP-OFF and PICK-UP

All classes meet in the art studio. Please accompany your child to and from the studio.

REFUND POLICY

Normally class fees are non-refundable, but summer will be a little different. Because summer is full of vacations, camps and visitors your child can take a day off for other summer activities without being charged for the missed class, if you call ahead of time to let us know of your intended absence. In the event that Blessings Art Academy must cancel a class, students will be issued a refund or a credit.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS AT BLESSINGS ART ACADEMY

We have a limited number of scholarships available. Paid enrollments subsidize our scholarship program, so we will not know until two to three weeks prior to a program start how much funding is available. Once we have determined the amount of scholarship funding, we will immediately process all scholarship applications and let you know what we are able to offer your child.

TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Financial Scholarships: We offer financial scholarships, which range from 25%-50% discount on tuition.
  • Equity Scholarships: Should you wish to further reduce your camp costs; we offer equity scholarships, in which you may trade volunteer hours for a discount on tuition. You may combine volunteer hours with a financial scholarship to reduce your tuition up to a maximum of 75% of the total cost. Volunteer work may include preparation of materials for class, mailings, and studio-clean up.
Print the scholarship application. Complete and return it to Blessings Art Academy, along with a completed registration form.
